Clearly Retail is designed to fit seemlessly into any computer environment as an Internet server using standard networking technologies. Using the Clearly Retail client program and standard TCP/IP networking, you can quickly and effectively create a multi-user and multi-location sales network. 
Using phone connections, dedicated lines, or the Internet, remote locations can be connected to the main server to perform sales, get reports, and perform administrative functions. For secure operation over shared lines and the Internet, Clearly Retail supports SSL encryption to keep your store information safe and secure. If you have a larger organization, Clearly Retail also supports multi-store operation where one server can be used to service more than one separate store operation. In this way, the information contained within each store is kept totally independent as if they were being operated from different physical machines. 
For increased flexibility, Clearly Retail also supports the use of different operating systems for client and server systems.
